CAD Detailer

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Detailer to join our Production Engineering Department. This position is responsible for creating fabrication and assembly drawings, along with bills of materials, for custom mechanical HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate has AutoCAD experience, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD and company design programs to create fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.

• Develop detailed drawings for custom HVAC equipment, including wall details, weld details, and unit base pans.

• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and plant personnel to ensure drawings meet production requirements.

• Assist with work orders and distribute drawings to support production operations.

• Maintain accurate, organized drawings and documentation.

• Continue developing technical skills and knowledge of drawing methods, design tools, and industry best practices.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field OR at least 2 years of experience in a CAD or Engineering Technology environment.

• AutoCAD experience required.

• Good understanding of Microsoft Office programs.

• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering design processes.

• Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with engineering and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or metal manufacturing.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $21.00 per hour

• Day shift
