Job Description

Lingo Staffing is now hiring Quality Assurance Inspector in the Hartville, OH area to start ASAP!

Quality Assurance Inspector – Will inspect finished and in-process products, identify and document non-conforming materials, verify proper packaging and production procedures, and work closely with Production and Quality leadership to resolve quality concerns.

Payrate & Scheduled:

  • $15.00 & Up (Based on Experience)
  • 1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 Midnight (Monday – Friday)
  • 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM (Monday – Friday)

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Perform First Piece Inspections for all job start-ups and secondary operation start-ups.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar setting
  • Previous experience in plastics manufacturing or injection molding preferred
  • Previous Quality Assurance or Quality Inspection experience strongly preferred
  • Display approved first-piece samples at the appropriate press or secondary operation for operator reference.
  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure compliance with established quality standards and approved samples.
  • Identify visual defects including splay, burns, shorts, contamination, excess glue, flash, cleanliness issues, and other non-conformances.
  • Complete required quality documentation accurately and legibly, including:
    • Inspection Checklists
    • In-Process Inspection Reports
    • Mold Set-Up Checklists
    • First Piece Sign-Offs
    • Production documentation
  • Quarantine and properly identify non-conforming or suspect products according to established procedures.
  • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
  • Verify operators are following established work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Re-instruct operators on proper procedures when necessary.
  • Verify and document product weights at each press when required.
  • Conduct scheduled quality rounds throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Verify correct materials, packaging quantities, labels, bags, screws, assembly components, and boxes are being used.
  • Inspect packaging against established packaging instructions and specifications.
  • Monitor production cycle times and communicate discrepancies to the Production Foreman.
  • Audit packaged parts and assemblies for compliance with quality and packaging requirements.
  • Verify proper carton and pallet labeling and scanning procedures.
  • Ensure previous production labels, boxes, and materials are removed before the next job begins.
  • Instruct operators on the proper use of scales, check fixtures, Go/No-Go gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ensure inspection equipment has current calibration labels and is functioning properly.
  • Identify defective parts, communicate issues to supervisors, document scrap, and quarantine suspect products.
  • Communicate quality concerns, rework status, new jobs, special projects, and customer issues between shifts.
  • Ability to identify product defects and non-conforming materials
  • Ability to accurately complete inspection and production documentation
  • Comfortable working with measuring and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors, and Quality leadership
  • Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and established quality procedures
  • Basic computer and scanning-system skills
