Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Sanford, FL
Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Our client, a growing medical device manufacturer, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join its production team. In this role, you'll assemble, wire, test, troubleshoot, and calibrate sophisticated medical imaging equipment used by healthcare providers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical systems using schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Wire, test, troubleshoot, and calibrate completed assemblies.
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, soldering equipment, and other test instruments.
• Verify products meet quality and performance standards before release.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and assist with corrective actions.
• Support prototype builds and transition products into production.
• Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

• Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience assembling and troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

• Manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with FDA or ISO quality standards.
