Maintenance/Custodian Assistant – Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility while assisting with general building maintenance and upkeep. This position is responsible for cleaning restrooms, lunchrooms, shop floors, and common areas, performing basic maintenance and repairs, assisting with preventative maintenance, maintaining the grounds, and supporting the Maintenance Supervisor with day-to-day facility needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Pay Rate & Schedule:

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

1st Shift: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain restrooms, lunchrooms, shop floors, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Assist with general building and equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic repairs, painting, and preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Help move equipment, materials, and furniture when needed.
• Maintain the facility grounds, including litter pickup and snow removal.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment, hand tools, and basic power tools.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Previous custodial or basic maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
