Machine Operator – 3rd Shift
Location: West Haven, CT
Pay Rate: $20/hour to start

Lingo Staffing is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for a fabrication company located in West Haven, CT. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with proven supervisory or leadership experience to join a fabric manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring fabric quality standards, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile manufacturing, solid leadership capabilities, the ability to act quickly, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Important Training Requirement

• Must be able to train on 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year before transitioning to 3rd shift

• Training hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

• 3rd shift hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust fabric manufacturing machines according to production specifications

• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime

• Lead, train, and support a team of machine operators to meet production schedules and quality standards

• Monitor team performance and assist with performance evaluations

• Troubleshoot machine or production issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering as needed

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines

• Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports in a timely manner

• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of machine operator experience

• Supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment

• Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and specifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required

• Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Reliable transportation

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
