2nd Shift Machinist / Machine Operator

Location: Shelton, CT
Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (10-hour shifts)

Job Overview

We are seeking dependable and motivated 2nd Shift Machinists/Machine Operators to join a manufacturing team in Shelton, CT. This is a temporary assignment ideal for individuals with previous machine operation or manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing quality work while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery according to company procedures.
• Load and unload materials and parts into machines.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operator, machinist, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Willingness to work four 10-hour shifts on 2nd shift.
