Industrial Painter / Powder Coating Technician

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Powder Coating Technician with prior experience wet painting and powder coating precision sheet metal fabrications. This position is responsible for preparing, painting, and powder coating metal parts while ensuring quality standards and proper coating thickness are met.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial spray painting, powder coating equipment, and finishing precision metal components.

Responsibilities

• Apply wet paint and powder coatings to manufactured metal products using industrial spray guns.

• Set up and operate industrial washers to clean parts before coating.

• Mask parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Load and unload parts onto conveyors.

• Mix liquid coatings to achieve the required color and consistency, or load powder into the coating hopper.

• Set and monitor oven temperatures to ensure proper curing of paint and powder coatings.

• Inspect finished parts for quality and correct coating thickness using a mil thickness gauge.

• Remove parts from conveyors and remove masking materials as required.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Follow all safety procedures and production quality standards.

Qualifications

• Required: Previous experience with both wet painting and powder coating of precision sheet metal fabrications.

• Experience operating industrial spray guns and coating equipment.

• Ability to read and follow drawings and work instructions for masking and finishing parts.

• Knowledge of coating application, curing processes, and quality inspection.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the workday.

Pay & Schedule

• $20.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.

• First-shift schedule.
