Lingo Staffing is hiring a reliable and hardworking General Labor Associate for a full-time position in Orange, CT.

Monday – Friday
6:30 AM – End of Day
Typically around 2:30 PM, depending on daily deliveries and workload.

Pay

$20-$22/hr DOE 

Position Overview

The General Labor Associate will assist with the loading, unloading, handling, and delivery of construction materials to customer job sites and businesses.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires frequent lifting and movement of construction materials. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and able to work effectively alongside a delivery partner and warehouse team.

Strong customer service and communication skills are also important, as you will interact with customers during deliveries and material pickups.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and deliver construction materials to customer job sites and businesses.
• Frequently lift, carry, and move construction materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Assist forklift operators with loading trucks and positioning materials safely and securely.
• Work closely with delivery drivers, warehouse personnel, and other team members to complete deliveries efficiently.
• Inspect, tarp, cover, and properly secure loads as needed for transportation and weather conditions.
• Assist customers with material pickups while trucks are being prepared for deliveries.
• Receive and document returned materials and assist with unloading materials returned for credit.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate any loading, delivery, or job-site concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Assist coworkers with warehouse, delivery, and material-handling duties as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and management instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse, construction, delivery, general labor, or material handling is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Ability to work effectively with a partner and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining good attendance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safety-conscious and attentive to surroundings.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to assist with a variety of warehouse and delivery-related tasks.
