Train on the day shift and transition to the 2nd shift schedule (Monday-Thursday, 2 PM - Midnight).
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to join our team. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in quality control within a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all machined components meet required specifications and quality standards along with supervising a crew of 3-5 machinist. Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality inspections on machined parts using CMM and various precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to conduct inspections and verify part accuracy.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Document inspection results, maintain quality reports, and communicate any non-conformances.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards.
Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and inspection in a machine shop environment.
Proficiency in operating and programming CMM equipment.
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
Experience with various precision measuring tools.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Schedule & Benefits:
Training on the day shift, then moving to the 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 2 PM - Midnight).
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off.
