Welder/Fabricator – East Hartford, CT
$24.00–$26.00/hr (based on experience) | Full-Time | 1st Shift
Lingo Staffing is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a well-established building materials supplier in East Hartford. This is a steady, first-shift role with consistent weekday hours.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; some flexibility to support project needs
What You'll Do:
Fit and weld assemblies per job instructions and drawings using MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and flux-core (FCAW) processes
Perform code-compliant welds (ASME, AWS, or API) and joint preparation per drawings and specs
Use shop hand tools, band saws, and oxy/fuel & plasma cutting torches; operate forklifts
Rig, hoist, and move materials
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety standards
What You Need:
Ability to prep, set up, fit, and pass weld tests: GMAW/FCAW in 2G, 3G & 4G positions and GTAW in 6G
Ability to read weld symbols, weld procedures, and mechanical/structural drawings
Minimum 1 year of hands-on welding experience (required)
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow detailed instructions
Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
A Plus:
ASME pipe welding experience
Fit-up and layout experience on structural steel and pipe spools
