Lingo Staffing is Now hiring for Technical Service Representative in Cuyahoga Falls, OH
Hours: Days; On CallDays: Monday to Friday; Weekend Availability Pay: $55 to $65k
Will be building and servicing polyurethane equipment. Travel is required (50% to 70% Travel), Can be at a moments notice- on call for issues and problems. Polyurethane experience is great, but not required, but appreciated. Customer service experience needed- will be working with clients on service calls, phone troubleshooting, check ins and training. Must be able to be patient and teach step-by-step processes on how to operate machinery. Will be at the local shop when not traveling- sometimes will be a few weeks in the shop but then might be a week long trip. Programming exp is helpful, Machine builders and metal finishing industry - with mechanical skills and willingness to travel.
Key Areas of Responsibility:The Field Service Technician (FST) provides technical service and support to customers in the field, as well as internally within the company. By serving as our representative to the customer, the FST plays a critical role in providing customer satisfaction and generating additional sales opportunities.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities (operational/tactical)- Installation, start-up and repair of Polyurethane Processing Equipment at the customers' location
- Performs preventative maintenance on the same equipment
- Provides system training to customers on maintenance, operation, and programing as required
- Completes all job-related paperwork and submits to the supervisor each week
- Paperwork Includes: Expense reports and service reports
- Maintains daily communication with supervisor and/or customer service representatives and provides appropriate updates on job-related progress and schedule
- Makes effective use of downtime during periods in the office. This may include customer phone support, and other internal project support
- Identify improvements/bugs in equipment design and software and report appropriately to engineering/customer service
- Maintains a clean and professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Follows all appropriate safety procedures and actively promotes a safe work environment
- Establish and maintain effective relationships within the organization companywide in order to develop a strong support network
- Accomplish tasks as directed by management
- Travel represents approximately 50% to 70% of total time
Position requirements:- Mechanical/Electrical Technical Expertise
- Must have a good background in hydraulics and controls including a working knowledge on PLC's
- Good Communication and computer skills required, also experience in the Urethane Industry would be very helpful
- Must be able to read and understand both mechanical and electrical schematics
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work alone with little to no technical support or supervision
- 2+ years of working experience with troubleshooting industrial equipment
- Experience in an industrial environment
Functional Skill sets:- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% to 70% of the time (on-call, can leave within a day or two notice)
- Ability to Lift and carry heavy parts
- Use of both hands and good dexterity
Intrapersonal Skills (leadership, management, Communication Skills)- Good people skills, able to communicate with customers and co-workers
- Good communication skills and ability to explain step-by-step instructions as needed
- Very organized and able to present ideas in a structured manner
