Summary:The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The work will follow safety, predictive, and productive maintenance processes.Responsibilities and Duties:Machinery and Troubleshooting:
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant equipment
Requires mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLCs, and Ladder Logic skills
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns on machines, tools, and equipment
Conduct root cause analysis to improve equipment serviceability and reliability
Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating problems; repair or replace parts, test, and adjust
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during downtime
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Ensure successful testing of equipment after repairs
Transition from reactive to proactive maintenance approaches
Industrial & Mechanical Knowledge:
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and electrical drawings
Expertise with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), Allen-Bradley, Siemens Controls, and drive components
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and 24VDC/480VAC systems
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments such as calipers
Maintain technical competency and stay informed on industry changes
Supporting Plant Operations:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, housekeeping standards, and safety regulations
Act as a technical resource for equipment operators and assist with troubleshooting
Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Production Manager on operational updates
Minimize labor, material, and part costs while achieving successful outcomes
Record maintenance activities and manage part inventory
Education & Experience Requirements:
1–2 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
Basic testing meters/tools required
Steady work history with a strong attendance record
Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during a shift
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for up to 8 hours a day
