Position: Siemens Automation EngineerLocation: Charlotte NCSalary Range: 100,000 - 105,000Travel: 10-30% domestic and international
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced highly skilled Siemens Automation Engineer to join our team, providing advanced technical solutions and support for our OEM packaging equipment customers. This role is ideal for an experienced controls and automation professional with Siemens expertise, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access platforms
  • Read, troubleshoot or program PLC programs in Siemens S7, Simotion and TIA Portal
  • Read, troubleshoot or change software written in Ladder logic
  • Assist customers by analyzing and researching technical support inquiries and provide troubleshooting support
  • Apply PackML standards in equipment integration and programming of packaging machines
  • Allen Bradley Control Logix and Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 is preferred
  • Manage and prioritize multiple technical support tickets concurrently
  • Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) approximately 10–30%
  • Document solutions and provide feedback for continuous improvement of equipment and processes

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in controls or automation engineering
  • Associated degree or continuing education is preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency in Siemens S7, Simotion, and TIA Portal
  • Strong knowledge of PackML programming standards
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues
  • Work closely with Design Engineers to provide customer feedback and recommend modifications to eliminate malfunctions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously
  • 10-30% domestic and international travel will be required
  • Knowledge of German standards (CE) preferred

Along with a highly competitive base salary of $110-105k per year & daily per diem while traveling
