The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for handling outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with carriers to maintain efficient shipping operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Verify and package products according to shipping standards.
Generate shipping labels, invoices, and other required documentation.
Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
Perform quality checks to ensure correct items and quantities are shipped.
Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and shipping software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
