Lingo Staffing is Now hiring for Copley in OH THIS IS A PART-TIME TEMPORARY POSITION RUNNING FROM 01/16/2025 to 04/12/2025 Days & Hours: Thursday 3pm to 7pm, Friday and Saturday 9am to 1pm Pay: $15 Job Summary: The Recycling Monitor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the proper disposal and sorting of recyclable materials at designated Copley Township recycling drop-off location. The Recycling Monitor will work to educate residents on best recycling practices, assist in maintaining the cleanliness of recycling areas, and provide support in maintaining efficient and safe operations. Key Responsibilities:1. Recycling Oversight:o Monitor the drop-off locations for proper recycling practices, ensuring that recyclable materials are correctly separated and placed in appropriate containers.o Assist residents by answering questions regarding acceptable recycling materials.o Ensure that contaminated materials (e.g., non-recyclables) are properly removed from recycling bins.2. Customer Service and Education:o Educate residents and community members about Copley Township’s recycling policies, including acceptable and non-acceptable materials.o Provide guidance to residents on how to properly sort recyclables and reduce contamination.o Promote environmental awareness and recycling efforts through positive interaction.3. Site Maintenance:o Ensure that recycling bins and surrounding areas are clean and organized.o Maintain and monitor the condition of bins and containers, reporting any issues such as damage or need for replacement.o Assist with keeping the recycling site free of litter and debris.4. Safety and Compliance:o Ensure that all recycling activities adhere to safety protocols and township regulations.o Report any safety hazards or concerns at recycling drop-off sites to the appropriate supervisor.5. Other Duties:o Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent required.· Interest in environmental sustainability and recycling practices.· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.· Ability to work independently and interact positively with the public.· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.· Detail-oriented with the ability to identify contaminants in recyclables.· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.· Previous experience in customer service or environmental work is preferred but not required.· Basic knowledge of recycling programs and materials is a plus Physical Demands:· Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 pounds.· The role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, snow, etc.).Work Environment:· Outdoor work environment at recycling drop-off location.· Interaction with the public and community members.
