Processing Tech (Chicken)
Job Summary: The Processing Tech will be responsible for safely and efficiently cutting and processing chicken in a production environment. The role requires attention to detail, commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform precise cutting, deboning, and portioning of chicken according to company specifications. Ensure meat quality meets the required standards.
Strictly adhere to safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Use protective equipment and ensure proper sanitation of cutting tools.
Inspect meat for quality, including checking for defects, discoloration, or contamination.
Make sure all cuts meet the company’s quality guidelines.
Properly maintain and operate cutting equipment and tools, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Follow all safety regulations, including the safe handling of sharp knives and cutting tools. Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth workflow on the production line.
Adapt to different roles as needed during the production process.
Work in varying temperature conditions (cold storage areas, refrigerated environments) while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a food production or meat processing environment is a plus but not required
Ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
Strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality control.
Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and work in varying temperatures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capable of lifting and carrying moderate to heavy loads as needed.
Manual dexterity to handle cutting tools and perform precise tasks.
The role will be performed in a fast-paced production facility, typically in cold storage or refrigerated areas.
