Lingo Staffing is hiring an experienced Printing Press Operator for a top manufacturing partner in Roanoke, VA!
This role is ideal for professionals with press operation experience who take pride in accurate, high-quality production. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain printing and pressure-seal equipment, including multi-color presses and fold-and-seal machines
Set up printing jobs based on production specs, artwork requirements, and customer orders
Load appropriate paper stock, inks, plates, and coatings for each job
Monitor print quality throughout runs — checking registration accuracy, color consistency, ink density, alignment, and overall appearance
Make adjustments during operation: ink levels, roller pressure, registration settings, feeder alignment, and drying speed
Perform routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, plate changes, blanket washes, and replacing worn parts
Work closely with prepress, imaging, and finishing teams to maintain workflow and meet production timelines
Requirements:
Previous experience operating and maintaining printing press machines; web offset printing equipment experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and correct quality issues
Perform quality checks on equipment and finished products
Refill inks and maintain supplies per specifications
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Familiarity with pressure-seal forms, variable-data printing, or direct mail production is helpful but not required
Must have color vision for quality inspection
