Job Description
Lingo Staffing is looking to hire a temporary 1st Shift Machine Mechanic in West Haven, CT.
**This is a 3-month contract with possibility of 2nd shift permanent placement opening** This role involves performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on production line manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, and troubleshooting using standard tools, manuals, schematics, and instructions. The position requires maintaining accurate maintenance logs, using various hand and power tools, and occasionally redesigning mechanical, electrical, optical, or vacuum systems under supervision.Â
Hours:Â 40+ hours per week is expected. Pay:Â 25$/hour
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair issues
Carry out work across electrical, mechanical, or machining trades
Support equipment installations and routine inspections
Enter and maintain data in a computerized system
Assist with general building maintenance as needed
Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines
Required Skills and Experience
3–5 years of related maintenance experience, or equivalent training
Vocational or technical trainingÂ
Knowledge of calibration and preventive maintenance procedures
Proficiency with computer database programs and basic Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
