Position Summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity goals are met. This role leads production teams, coordinates workflow, enforces safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily manufacturing operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow coordination
Lead, coach, and develop production employees to meet performance and quality standards
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA requirements
Monitor production output, downtime, and efficiency; address issues to meet production targets
Enforce quality control standards and support corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment and process issues
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and shift documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Assist with training, onboarding, and performance evaluations
Communicate production goals, expectations, and performance metrics to teams
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
2–5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems
Experience with production scheduling, KPIs, and performance metrics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP preferred)
Work Environment
Manufacturing/production floor environment
Standing, walking, and lifting as required
Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
