Job Title: Production Technician Pay rate: $18.70/hr. Shift: Second shift (must be flexible to train on 1st shift). Area: Whitestown SUMMARY Production Technician perform line and equipment setup to meet all standards for product quality, safety and efficiency. This position will follow work instructions for assembly of PTS products, on a manual, packaging, or automation line. In this position you will perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to ensure regulatory compliance standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assembles product according to established work instructions.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require (packaging, manual, automation).
• Ensure production area is safe to work, productive and has required inventory.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
• Test products or subassemblies for functionality and quality.
• Prepare and assemble materials.
• Gives feedback to Supervisor regarding production progress.
• Other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS • Attention to detail
• Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
• Ability to use various hand tools
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods of time
• Ability to work irregular and extended hours as needed
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing, Medical Device, or Pharmaceutical environments
• Experience with bookkeeping, documentation, or paper-based record keeping EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related assembly experience and/or training
• Or, equivalent combination
