Machine Operator – 3rd Shift Location: West Haven, CT Pay Rate: $20/hour to start
Lingo Staffing is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for a fabrication company located in West Haven, CT. We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with proven supervisory or leadership experience to join a fabric manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring fabric quality standards, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile manufacturing, solid leadership capabilities, the ability to act quickly, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Important Training Requirement
Must be able to train on 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year before transitioning to 3rd shift
Training hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
3rd shift hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and adjust fabric manufacturing machines according to production specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime
Lead, train, and support a team of machine operators to meet production schedules and quality standards
Monitor team performance and assist with performance evaluations
Troubleshoot machine or production issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines
Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports in a timely manner
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams
Requirements
Minimum of 2–3 years of machine operator experience
Supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment
Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and specifications
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required
Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
