Lingo Staffing is hiring an Assistant Press Operator for a leading printing and manufacturing partner in Roanoke, VA!
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in printing press operations, manufacturing production, and industrial machine support while building a long-term career in the printing industry. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Press Operator with setup, operation, and maintenance of high-speed printing presses
Load raw materials into feeder systems and remove finished products for packaging and distribution
Monitor production flow to ensure quality, efficiency, and minimal downtime
Perform material handling duties, including staging materials and removing scrap or waste from production areas
Support bindery, finishing, and packaging operations as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused production environment
Follow all safety procedures while working around industrial equipment, rollers, ink systems, and moving machinery
Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing, printing, packaging, warehouse, or machine operation preferred
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery and production equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment
Previous experience with printing presses, bindery, finishing equipment, or feeder systems is a plus
Must have color vision (required for print quality control)
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks
