Maintenance Technician – Day Shift Location: Roanoke, VA (no relocation is provided for this position) Schedule: Day Shift | Occasional Saturday Overtime Pay: Hourly rate $25.00 - $30.00 Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire through Lingo Staffing About the Opportunity Lingo Staffing is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a growing manufacturing facility in Roanoke VA. This is a day-shift position offering stability, and the chance to work with advanced production systems.
We’re looking for a well-rounded, hands-on technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems. The right candidate will be proactive, safety-focused, and skilled across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. A minimum of 5+ years experience in a hands-on maintenance role is required. Responsibilities
Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on CNC cutting & milling machines, conveyors, robotics, air compressors, and dust collection systems.
Complete scheduled maintenance per established plans and maintain detailed PM logs.
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls to minimize downtime.
Assist with facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and light carpentry work.
Move or install production and office equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance or production team.
What You Bring
A strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and solve problems independently.
Proven experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment — ideally including CNC, robotics, conveyors, and facility systems.
A “hands-on” approach and willingness to take ownership of repairs and preventative maintenance.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or assist across departments when needed.
A sense of pride in craftsmanship, safety, and keeping operations running smoothly.
Reliability, initiative, and a professional attitude — someone who can be counted on to see a job through to completion.
The ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and follow established safety and maintenance protocols.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or multi-craft technician roles.
Strong electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Strong repair experience with CNC machinery, conveyors, and robotics systems.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs and record keeping.
PLC troubleshooting experience preferred; programming experience a plus.
Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements.
Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
