Shift: Day Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM plus overtime as needed

We’re seeking a Quality Control Technician / Machine Shop Assembler with a strong eye for detail and a passion for quality workmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts and enjoys working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
This role combines quality control inspection with light assembly and shop support work. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of quality control experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing setting, as well as the ability to operate or learn CMM equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting machined components, documenting results, assembling parts, and supporting grinding and sandblasting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed inspections of machined parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Operate or assist with CMM inspections as needed
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements to verify product accuracy
• Record and maintain inspection data, documentation, and quality records
• Assemble parts and mechanical components according to specifications
• Perform grinding and sandblasting tasks to prepare or finish parts
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming parts
• Follow all shop safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Communicate inspection results and collaborate with production and engineering teams
• Provide guidance or supervision to others when needed (supervisory experience a plus)
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of quality control or inspection experience in a machine shop setting
• Strong proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and general precision measurement tools
• Experience with CMM operation or willingness to train
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Assembly experience and familiarity with grinding/sandblasting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good communication skills, reliability, and a team-first mindset
• Manual dexterity and ability to work safely with shop equipment
