Quality Lab Technician - $19–21/hour – Covington, VA Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm Type: Contract to Perm Pay: $19–21/hour depending on experience Location: Covington, VA Industry: Manufacturing / Quality Control / Laboratory
Lingo Staffing is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for a leading manufacturing partner in Covington, VA!
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in chemistry or laboratory testing who are looking to grow their career in quality control and analytical lab environments. Key Responsibilities:
Perform chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
Analyze materials using laboratory techniques such as acid-base and redox titrations, particle size analysis, gravimetric analysis, melt point testing, and color comparison
Issue and manage quality control labels for materials, including approved, quarantined, and rejected statuses
Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain clean, organized analytical glassware and equipment
Accurately document test results and maintain detailed lab records and data
Monitor work-in-progress and finished product quality for release and compliance
Order and maintain laboratory chemicals, supplies, and inventory to support daily operations
Requirements:
Associate’s degree (AAS) in Chemistry or related field preferred
Minimum of one year of experience in an analytical lab, quality control lab, or similar environment preferred
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, testing methods, and data documentation
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality standards
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a laboratory setting
Comfortable working with chemicals and standard lab safety procedures
Ability to stand for extended periods with occasional walking
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
