Lingo Staffing is looking to hire a skilled and motivated 3rd shift Machine Operator with proven supervisory experience for a fabric manufacturing company located in West Haven, CT!
This role involves operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring fabric quality standards, and overseeing a team of operators to meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile manufacturing, leadership capabilities, ability to act quickly and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Hours: 3rd shift, 11PM-7:30AM ***NOTE: Candidate would be REQUIRED to train for 6 months to 1 year on 1st shift*** Pay: 20$/hr+ to start, Depending on Experience
The responsibilities of the Machine Operator are:
Operate, monitor, and adjust fabric manufacturing machine according to production specifications.
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
Lead, train, and support a team of machine operators to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Monitor team performance and assist in performance evaluations.
Troubleshoot machine or production issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams when needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines.
Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports in a timely manner.
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams.
The requirements of the Machine Operator are:
Minimum of 3+ years' operating fabric manufacturing machinery.
2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.
Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and specifications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to stand, walk, operate machinery for extended periods, and lift 50lbs+ as needed
