Lingo is looking to hire a Machine Operator with supervisory experience for a fabrication company located in West Haven, CT! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator with proven supervisory experience to join our fabric manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring fabric quality standards, and overseeing a team of operators to meet daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile manufacturing, leadership capabilities, ability to act quickly and a commitment to safety and efficiency. NOTE: this is a 2nd and 3rd shift position BUT candidates MUST be able to train on 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year!Pay: $20/hrThe responsibilities of the Machine Operator are:
Operate, monitor, and adjust fabric manufacturing machine according to production specifications.
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
Lead, train, and support a team of machine operators to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Monitor team performance and assist in performance evaluations.
Troubleshoot machine or production issues and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams when needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality assurance guidelines.
Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports in a timely manner.
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and quality assurance teams.
The requirements of the Machine Operator are:
Technical/vocational training in machinery operations preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years' operating fabric manufacturing machinery.
1+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.
Strong understanding of textile production processes and quality control standards.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and specifications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods - Forklift experience
