job Title: Logistics Technician I Department: Operations Reports To: Logistics Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt Experience: 3+ years (manufacturing preferred)Pay rate: $20 to $23Summary: The Logistics Technician I plays a key role in supporting the shipping and receiving operations at JMS. This position requires safe handling of large, delicate equipment, proper documentation, and coordination with a small team to ensure efficient workflow.Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to move large equipment
Package and label parts accurately using pick lists and drawings
Load/unload inbound and outbound shipments
Build custom crates/dunnage as needed
Organize shipping areas and laydown space by project and ship date
Capture and log outbound equipment photos
Stage and identify raw materials with proper labeling
Communicate project status and issues clearly with the supervisor
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license required
3+ years of shipping/receiving experience
Forklift certified with experience handling large freight
