Our client, a well-established global automotive components manufacturer specializing in plastic injection molding, and complex assemblies is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support the launch and growth of a new U.S. subsidiary operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a startup-style environment and enjoys building logistics processes, systems, and teams from the ground up while partnering with a well-established global organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily logistics, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory operations
Develop and implement logistics processes, procedures, and KPIs for a growing operation
Coordinate domestic and international shipments while ensuring on-time delivery and navigating any export procedures.
Manage relationships with customers, carriers, freight providers, and third-party logistics partners
Monitor inventory accuracy and support production and customer delivery requirements
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and customer service teams to improve supply chain efficiency
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with shipping, safety, and regulatory requirements
Assist with ERP/system (SAP) implementation and logistics reporting as the operation grows
Qualifications
5+ years of logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management experience
Experience working in a startup, new facility launches, or growing subsidiary environment strongly preferred
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or injection molding is required.
Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping processes
Experience with SAP systems and inventory management
Leadership skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
