Supply Chain & Marine Logistics Specialist
Salary: $45,000 – $65,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Location: On-site Norfolk, VA

Overview:
Lingo Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain & Marine Logistics Specialist to support inventory management, order fulfillment, and vessel coordination for lubricant products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery while maintaining accurate inventory levels and strong communication across operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across all products
  • Process and track incoming customer orders from entry through fulfillment
  • Coordinate procurement of products to support order demand while optimizing transportation costs
  • Partner with the Operations team to resolve order issues and ensure smooth execution
  • Communicate with vendors, shipping partners, and external stakeholders regarding deliveries, shipments, and vessel schedules
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to missing or damaged inventory
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances
  • Support and execute inventory audits
  • Cross-train and provide backup support to the Inside Sales team as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure inventory and logistics processes run efficiently

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, inventory, or customer service
    OR
    5+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, or freight logistics
  • Understanding of Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory and shipping principles
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Must be able to commute locally (this is an on-site role; no relocation assistance provided)
