Valve Repair Technician Trainee Location: Oklahoma City, OK Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour Experience Level: Entry-Level Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Travel: None (occasional travel required for field work)Overview: Lingo Staffing is seeking a Valve Repair Technician Trainee for a client based in Oklahoma City, OK. This entry-level opportunity offers hands-on training in the testing, inspection, and repair of spring-loaded and pilot-operated relief valves. The role includes both in-shop and field work, with opportunities for growth in a skilled trade environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the full disassembly and repair of spring-loaded relief valves.
Perform cleaning, inspection, and sandblasting of valves.
Complete proper documentation of all testing, repair work, and valve identification data.
Operate machining equipment for lapping and re-machining valves as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
Demonstrate professional conduct and strong customer service skills during field visits.
Travel with mobile units for off-site valve repair services as required.
Perform shop maintenance and support general repair operations.
Climb up to 100 feet for equipment access as necessary.
Wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment as required.
Lift up to 75 lbs safely during normal job duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn valve repair procedures.
Ability to fully repair spring-loaded relief valves (training provided).
Familiarity with pilot-operated valves is a plus.
Leadership potential and a team-oriented attitude.
Accurate and detailed documentation and reporting skills.
Capability to perform tasks such as disassembly, cleaning, sandblasting, inspection, and lapping.
Physically fit for climbing, lifting, and respirator use.
Willingness to travel up to two weeks per month for field service assignments.
Must successfully complete required training program provided by the client.
