Maintenance Technician – Tier 1
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Industry: Facilities Maintenance / Light Industrial

Overview:
Lingo Staffing is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician Tier 1 for a client located in Oklahoma City, OK. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to begin or grow a career in facility and equipment maintenance. The role involves basic maintenance tasks including groundskeeping, general repairs, cleaning, and supporting day-to-day facility operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, drains, and working on commercial toilets and urinals.
  • Patch, tape, and finish drywall surfaces for painting; strip and wax floors.
  • Replace filters, belts, motors, and verify oil levels.
  • Maintain pressure-bearing systems with air and liquid components.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure safety during equipment maintenance.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks such as replacing switches, plugs, and light bulbs; diagnose simple electrical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  • Complete work orders and ensure proper documentation for all maintenance tasks.
  • Relocate building furniture as needed.
  • Maintain sidewalks and parking areas including snow and ice removal.
  • Handle and dispose of waste materials such as pallets, wood crates, and metal chips.
  • Operate various equipment including ladders, company vehicles, forklifts, golf carts, and riding lawn mowers.
  • Perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment, including cleaning, inventory, and storage.
  • Conduct routine lawn care including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, pruning, and the application of chemicals (weed killers, fertilizers, etc.).
  • Empty outdoor trash receptacles and maintain overall cleanliness of outdoor areas.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to use ladders, riding mowers, golf carts, and groundskeeping equipment (weed eaters, edgers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
  • Basic proficiency in using tools (hand tools and power tools).
  • Preferred: forklift and scissor lift operation experience.
  • Comfortable using email, smartphones, and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, stoop, and lift/push/pull objects as required.
  • Capability to work in varying weather conditions and between buildings.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
Additional Information:
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
  • Safety training and adherence to company safety guidelines are mandatory.
