Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site Only
About the Role:
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Mid-Level Shop Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet of approximately 100 vehicles and pieces of equipment in top shape. This is an on-site role based out of our 2-bay garage — no road calls, no engine rebuilds — just hands-on, practical maintenance and repair on the equipment our crews rely on every day. This position is ideal for a mechanic with a solid foundation in diesel and small engine work who’s ready to grow into a senior-level role in the coming years. You’ll be working alongside our lead mechanic, learning the ropes while keeping our trucks and specialty equipment field-ready.
What You’ll Work On:
  • Routine maintenance and service of F-350 crew cabs, flatbeds, trailers, crash trucks, line trucks, dump trucks, and more
  • Troubleshooting and replacing small parts like mirrors, lighting, or hoses
  • Oil changes, tire repair and replacement
  • Tracking and resolving minor electrical issues
  • Welding non-structural components
  • Installing radiators and repairing/replacing hydraulic hoses (major part of the job)
  • Occasional work on specialized equipment including hammer trucks, augers, and rock drills
What You Won’t Do:
  • Drop engines
  • Travel for roadside work
  • Perform structural fabrication or heavy bodywork
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience (preferably in diesel or heavy equipment repair)
  • In depth experience of hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and small engine maintenance
  • Welding experience (non-structural repairs)
  • Ability to identify and order replacement parts
  • Solid attention to detail and pride in keeping equipment running safely and the work area clean
  • CDL or Diesel Mechanic Certification is a plus, but not required
Why Join Us:
  • Steady hours with overtime potential
  • Clean, organized on-site garage
  • Opportunity for career growth into a senior mechanic position
  • Supportive team environment with long-term stability
  • Great benefits
  • Limited, if any weekend work
