Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manager
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: $115,00 - $120,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Reports To: VP / Director of Operations

Overview
Lingo Staffing is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a leading aviation services provider in Miami. This role oversees GSE operations, maintenance, and repair to ensure maximum safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who has advanced through the mechanic ranks, values quality and process control, and is capable of stepping into any role they supervise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of all ground support equipment.

  • Ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with OSHA, FAA, and airport regulatory standards.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance, repair, and inspection records.

  • Mentor, supervise, and develop the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, audits, and process adherence.

  • Track KPIs related to equipment utilization, costs, productivity, and operational efficiency.

  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships for parts, equipment, and services.

  • Partner with procurement on sourcing parts and evaluating new equipment purchases.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years in a supervisory role, or 10+ years as a mechanic with demonstrated advancement.

  • Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Proven troubleshooting ability using diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Background in quality control, process improvement, and maintenance best practices.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced airport environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve outdoor environments, active airfields, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods; bend, stretch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to visually inspect equipment and perform hands-on mechanical tasks.

  • Travel required to local airport locations.
