Lingo Staffing is seeking a skilled picker for the shipping department for a warehouse in Pendergrass, GA Position Summary: The Shipping position requires a minimum of 2 years’ forklift experience and a reliable self-starter. Picker will be assembling customer orders from stock or inbound shipments for outbound loading. Essential Functions:
Pick orders according to quantity, part numbers and ensuring accuracy in time frame required.
Place orders in shipping area in staging location for quality check and packing.
Operate forklift, picker and reach truck to ensure safety regulations are followed.
Follows safe product handling techniques.
Returning undelivered products to their proper inventory locations.
Responsible for performing daily preventive maintenance duties on forklift and report malfunctions.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, and warehouse neat and complying with procedures and regulations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting.
Previous experience with WMS system is preferred.
Ability to lift/move 50lbs using proper lifting skills.
Participate in department meetings and training as required.
Comply with OSHA Standards, and other safety regulations, to assist in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse.
Other duties as assigned.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2 years warehouse picking experience.
Ability and experience driving a forklift.
Excellent attendance record
Ability to solve problems in the moment.
Experience working in fast moving environments with changing priorities.
Must be very organized.
Good verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is Continuously required to stand for long periods of time and move rapidly for entire shift. Continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle or manipulate object and hear. The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch while picking or looking for parts. Frequently mount & dismount warehouse forklift equipment. Must demonstrate ability to repetitively lift, push/pull or carry items weighing up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout shift. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and lift parts up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include dust, gases, heat, humidity and cold. Personal Protective Equipment is provided (earplugs, eye protection, gloves).Ability to lift/move 50lbs using proper lifting skills.
