Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 7am - 3:30pm Pay Rate: $24 - 30 per hour - Based on experience Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklifts and electric pallet jacks. This role ensures all equipment is functioning correctly and safely to support warehouse and production operations. Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Perform scheduled maintenance on forklifts and electric pallet jacks to ensure efficient operation.
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and address them before they cause equipment failures.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all repairs are conducted following company safety standards.
Assist with training operators on the proper use and maintenance of forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any safety or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
Order and stock parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
Requirements:
Previous experience in maintaining and repairing forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in equipment maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic computer skills for maintaining maintenance records.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
