Lingo Staffing is looking to hire an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a company located in Milford, CT!
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday Pay: $35-40/hour
The responsibilities of the Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions, repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling of machine assemblies; and the ability to perform complex diagnosis and repair of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. Including CNC machines and PLC controlled equipment.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with a “hands on” approach to problem solving.
Knowledge of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Must be able to read Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical drawings.
Routinely collaborates with other trades/job classifications and Operations; may lead repair project.
Installs, repairs and maintains electrical wiring, circuitry, control panels, fixtures, motors, and equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code.
Performs systematic electrical and electronic trouble-shooting.
Able to write preliminary drafts of electrical schematics in prep for final drafting.
Orders parts and supplies.
Estimate labor hours and materials for specific jobs.
Will be involved in any number of facilities maintenance activities including installation of new equipment, facility repairs, cleaning, snow removal, painting, etc.
Follows established company directives, policies, quality documents and manufacturing instructions.
The requirements of the Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician:
Valid State of Connecticut E2 license preferred; Associates Degree or Certification in applicable discipline or relative Military experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing equipment.
Experience in troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
Experienced with CNC equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Able to read and understand all diagrams and schematics, and engineering print(s) of: mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Able to interpret machine alarms, and can diagnose if the problem is with the program, machinery, or the operator.
Operate hoists and other lifting equipment, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Experience with PLC controls, ladder logic, microprocessor-based equipment, motor controls, relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, and circuits are preferred.
Safely lift 35lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Able to kneel, sit or lay on the ground to perform tasks as necessary.
