Lingo Staffing is looking to hire an experienced Logistics Dispatcher for a construction-based company located in East Hartford, CT. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate the scheduling and routing of delivery trucks. This role ensures that materials reach job sites efficiently and safely while supporting drivers and warehouse staff.
Pay: $20-30/hour DOE Hours: 1st shift
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch delivery trucks according to orders and customer priorities.
Communicate with drivers throughout the day to manage routes, updates, and delivery issues.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are accurately prepared and loaded.
Track deliveries and resolve any logistical or scheduling conflicts.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and delivery times.
Support drivers and customers with information regarding delivery times and special instructions.
Qualifications:
Previous logistics dispatching experience, preferably in building supply or construction materials.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfortable using scheduling software and GPS/route management tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute changes.
