Lingo Staffing is looking to hire a Sales Representative to join a Commercial Door Division (D8) of a construction supply company located in Orange, CT.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial door systems, hardware, and access solutions, with proven experience building relationships with general contractors, property managers, architects, and facility maintenance teams. The D8 Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing client accounts, and driving revenue growth within the assigned territory or sector.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Pay: Depends on Experience
The responsibilities of the D8 Sales Representative are:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market presence and achieve assigned sales targets within the D8 Commercial Door Division.
Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial door projects across industrial, institutional, and multi-family sectors.
Maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, property managers, and key decision-makers.
Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and quotations for commercial door, frame, and hardware packages.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
Conduct site visits, evaluate customer needs, and recommend suitable door and hardware solutions.
Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and competitor offerings.
Attend trade shows, networking events, and vendor trainings as needed.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer communications in CRM.
The qualifications of the D8 Sales Representative are:
3–5 years of experience in commercial door, frame, and hardware sales or related construction/building materials sales.
Strong technical knowledge of hollow metal doors, wood doors, frames, access control, and related hardware.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and develop long-term client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding construction specifications.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
Familiarity with Division 8 specifications, door submittals, and estimating software.
Prior work with general contractors, property management, or architectural firms.
