Lingo Staffing is looking to hire a CDL Class B driver with Moffett experience for a construction supply company located in Orange, CT!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to job sites and customer locations using flatbed trucks equipped with Moffett forklifts. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
The responsibilities are:
Safely operate a CDL Class B flatbed truck and Moffett forklift to transport and unload materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other safety equipment.
Deliver products to customer sites on schedule, maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Operate Moffett forklift to load and unload materials at delivery and pickup locations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading, logs, and inspection reports.
Comply with all FMCSA and company safety policies.
Perform minor maintenance or report mechanical issues promptly.
The requirements are:
Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
Moffett certification and proven experience operating Moffett or piggyback forklifts.
Minimum 2 years of CDL B driving experience, preferably with flatbed deliveries.
Ability to lift and secure loads of varying sizes and weights.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and load securement procedures.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Experience delivering building materials, lumber, or construction supplies.
Familiarity with local delivery routes and job site environments.
OSHA certification or forklift operator certification a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
Ability to climb onto trailers and operate forklifts safely.
Tolerant of outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
