Job Description

Lingo Staffing is looking to hire multiple CDL Class B Drivers for a reputable construction company in New Haven, CT!
We are looking for multiple reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Drivers to support our construction operations. The driver will be responsible for transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. This position may also involve assisting with general labor tasks on-site when deliveries are complete.
Hours: 1st shift (Hours may vary due to project)Pay: Depending on Experience
The requirements of the CDL Class B Driver are:- Safely operate and drive Class B vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other specialized construction vehicles.- Load and unload construction materials and equipment following proper handling procedures.- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage sheets, and any required DOT documentation.- Assist with material staging, site cleanup, and general labor tasks as needed.- Adhere strictly to company safety policies and DOT regulations at all times.- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and crew members regarding schedules and deliveries.- Navigate to multiple job sites within local and regional areas.- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicles.
The requirements for the CDL Class B Driver are:- Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.- Minimum of 1–2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the construction industry.- Knowledge of DOT regulations and proper load securement techniques.- Ability to operate manual transmissions is a MUST- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical.- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor when required.- Experience operating construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, skid steers) is a plus.- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.- Familiarity with local and regional delivery routes.- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
