Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated 2nd Shift Supervisor to oversee operations in a precision machining and fabrication environment. The selected candidate will train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift leadership. This role is responsible for supervising machinists and fabricators, ensuring productivity, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise 2nd shift operations, ensuring efficient workflow and team productivity.
Train on 1st shift to gain knowledge of company procedures and operational requirements.
Oversee lathe machining and metal fabrication processes, maintaining high-quality standards.
Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and uphold safety regulations.
Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure seamless shift transitions.
Troubleshoot machinery and production issues to reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate production records and report operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience in lathe machining and metal fabrication is required.
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining operations, tooling, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
Willingness to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.
