Lab Technician – $19+/hour – Covington, VA

Shift: Monday-Friday, Rotating schedule. Example:

• Week 1: 8:00am-4:30pm
• Week 2: 4:00pm-12:30am
• Week 3: 12:00am-8:30am
• Week 4: 8:00am-4:00pm

Lingo Staffing is hiring a Technician for a leading manufacturing partner in Covington, VA!

This is a unique hybrid opportunity for candidates with laboratory, medical, or science-related experience who are open to supporting both shipping/receiving operations and quality lab functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to a laboratory environment with the opportunity to be trained in quality control processes over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support shipping and receiving operations including handling incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products
• Assist with material movement, staging, and inventory within both production and lab environments
• Perform chemical and physical testing on materials as trained to ensure compliance with specifications
• Assist with laboratory tasks such as preparing reagents, maintaining glassware, and supporting lab operations
• Accurately document data, maintain records, and follow quality control procedures
• Issue and track material status labels (approved, quarantined, rejected)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across both lab and production areas
• Work cross-functionally between departments to support overall operations

Requirements:

• Candidates with laboratory, medical, or science-related experience preferred (such as nursing, medical assisting, pharmacy tech, or similar); recent graduates and undergrads with degrees in Biology, Chemistry, or related fields are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable working in both a hands-on production/shipping environment and a laboratory setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures and documentation standards
• Ability to learn laboratory testing methods and quality control processes
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and data
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of shipping/receiving duties; ability to stand for extended periods with occasional walking between departments

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow into a lab-focused role
