Job Overview

GCI is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate with the opportunity to advance into a full-time, non-CDL Delivery Driver position.

This position begins with approximately 720 hours (about 4.5 months) of warehouse work through Lingo. During this initial phase, you will learn our warehouse operations and become familiar with our products, processes, and team.

Upon successfully completing the 720-hour period, you will have the opportunity to transition directly to GCI payroll, receive a pay increase, and begin training for delivery and driving responsibilities.

The driving position involves operating a 24-foot box truck, with no CDL required. You will initially work alongside a senior driver before progressing to an independent, solo driver role.

Responsibilities

Phase 1: Warehouse Associate — First 720 Hours

During the initial training period, responsibilities will include:

• Receive, sort, organize, and scan incoming stock and materials.

• Safely unload, move, and pack materials.

• Assist with general warehouse operations and daily tasks.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

Important: During the initial 720-hour warehouse phase, you will not operate company vehicles or perform delivery routes.

Phase 2: Delivery Driver — After Transition to GCI Payroll

After successfully completing the warehouse phase and transitioning to GCI, you will begin training for your driving responsibilities.

Driver Helper / Training Phase:

• Assist with deliveries and pickups while training alongside a senior driver.

• Learn to safely operate a 24-foot box truck.

• Gain hands-on experience with routes, loading, unloading, and customer deliveries.

• Develop knowledge of company delivery procedures and safety requirements.

Full-Time Solo Driver Phase:

• Operate a 24-foot box truck independently.

• Pick up and deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.

• Follow all transportation, safety, and company policies.

• Occasionally complete overnight pickup routes.

Overnight Travel: When overnight travel is required, GCI covers 100% of hotel accommodations and approved per diem food expenses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong English-speaking and communication skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable work habits.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds.

• Clean driving record.

• Clean criminal and employment background.

• Ability to pass the required screening and driving requirements.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card before operating the company vehicle.

• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as the position progresses.

• Positive attitude and strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Compensation & Advancement

• Starting Pay: $17.00/hour during the warehouse phase.

• After 720 Hours: Eligible to transition directly to GCI payroll.

• Pay Increase: Compensation increases as you advance into the driver-helper and driving positions, based on your expanded responsibilities.

• Overnight Travel: GCI covers 100% of hotel accommodations and per diem food expenses for required overnight trips.
