Material Handling Forklift Operator — Logistics Warehouse

Position Summary
The Material Handling Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials throughout a high-volume logistics warehouse. This role helps keep inventory flowing efficiently and accurately from receiving to storage to outbound shipping.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
* Load and unload inbound and outbound freight
* Move pallets, products, and materials to designated locations
* Receive, stage, and organize inventory
* Inspect loads for accuracy and damage
* Follow warehouse safety procedures and traffic rules
* Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as needed
* Maintain clean and orderly work areas
* Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues

Requirements

* Prior forklift or material-handling experience preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
* Strong attention to detail and safety
* Ability to lift, stand, bend, and move throughout shift
* Reliable attendance and punctuality
* Basic communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Forklift certification
* Experience in logistics, distribution, or warehouse operations
* Experience with pallets, scanners, and inventory systems

Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
* Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment
* Ability to work indoors in warehouse conditions
