Position Summary: Ground Handling and Inventory Coordinator
Department: Operations
Location: Forest Park, Georgia (Atlanta Area)
Reports to: Station Manager
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This company provides temperature-controlled container leasing for pharmaceutical shipments. The Ground Handling and Inventory Coordinator supports daily operations at the Forest Park station, ensuring efficient container handling, accurate inventory management, and professional interaction with logistics partners and clients. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude to assist with equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and inspect containers for pickup; receive returned units

  • Perform routine mechanical inspections and basic troubleshooting of containers and related equipment

  • Conduct minor repairs and report any major mechanical issues to management

  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, high-pressure washer) safely

  • Communicate with logistics drivers and ensure smooth inbound/outbound flow

  • Monitor and respond to operational emails regarding shipments and inventory

  • Maintain and update inventory records in GHI, ECM, and NAVISION systems

  • Perform physical inventory counts; report discrepancies

  • General warehouse duties and tasks assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including mechanical or technical hands-on experience

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal English)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook; skilled in handling email communication with clients

  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently

  • Cultural sensitivity and compliance-focused

  • Technical or college certificate preferred
