Job Description

1st and 2nd Welder/Fitter - $23-$26/hour – Roanoke, VA Shifts: 
  • 1st: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm 
  • 2nd: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-3:00am
*Must be available for weekends and overtime as required*Type: Contract to PermPay: $23/hour + $3 shift differential for 2nd shiftLocation: Roanoke, VA 24019Industry: Skilled Trades Join Lingo Staffing and take the next step into your welding career! We are seeking talented and motivated Welders/Fitters for a leading manufacturing partner in Roanoke, VA!   Key Responsibilities: 
  • Execute Fluxcore welding 1/16th sheet metal, ensuring high-quality results
  • Fit and assemble sheet metal following comprehensive blueprints and specifications
  • Accurately interpret and apply AWS weld symbols to enhance craftsmanship
  • Utilize hand tools efficiently while thriving in a dynamic production environment 
 Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder, Fluxcore Welder, and Fitter is essential
  • Proficient in Fluxcore (1/16") welding techniques 
  • Ability to lift 50-100lbs repeatedly with confidence 
  • Basic math proficiency and computer skills are a must 
  • Skilled in using hand tools and working effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Comfortable walking or standing for the entire shift
  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment 
  • Must be able to pass a written welding test and practical welding test at client site
